1 Overview
LN386 is an audio power amplifier produced by National Semiconductor and is mainly used in low-voltage consumer products. To minimize external components, the voltage gain is built in at 20. However, by adding an external resistor and capacitor between pins 1 and 8, the voltage gain can be adjusted to any value, up to 200. The input terminal is ground-referenced, while the output terminal is automatically biased to half of the power supply voltage. Under a 6V power supply voltage, its static power consumption is only 24mli, making the LM.386 particularly suitable for battery-powered applications. The packaging forms of IM386 include plastic 8-lead dual-in-line type and patch type.
2. Characteristics
The static power consumption is low, about 4mA, and can be used for battery power supply. •Wide operating voltage range, 4-12V or 5-18V. • Fewer peripheral components. •Voltage gain adjustable, 20-200. •Low distortion.
