Technical Guide: How to package the GERBER files of Altium Designer14
[Copy link]
Specifically, there are 4 points as follows: 1. If you submit a GERBER file, then the original PCB file does not need to be uploaded. If there are two files in the upload, it will be difficult for the auditor to start. He does not know which file is correct for you. 2. Analyze ODB++. In fact, the textbook has clearly stated that if there is a long octagonal pad in the design project file, ODB++ can be used to output the GERBER file. Because the octagon is an irregular D code, it will become a rounded rectangle, which is easy to cause inconsistency with the design file; (because it will not be distorted) If it is converted to ODB++ format , the octagonal D code can be avoided; but the ODB++ format must be imported with special software: such as genesis, cam350 and other software input. If there is no octagon in the file, please do not output ODB++. 3. What are CAMtastic1, 2, and 3? CAMtastic1 is actually the save file automatically generated when you generate the GERBER file. This does not need CAMtastic2. It is also the save file automatically generated when you generate the NC drilling file. This does not need CAMtastic3. It is the generated ODB++ save file. 4. How to correctly identify the files required for PCB processing! As long as you output Gerber Fiiles+NC Drill Files (small files) and compress them together to our company, it will be fine. The generated GERBER small files are in the project Outputs for .......Find the small files here as follows: GTLtop line top GBLbottom line bottom GTStop solder mask top solder GBSbottom solder mask bottom solder GTOtop character top overlay GBObottom character bottom overlay DRLdrill layer GKOforbidden wiring layer (border) keepout GDD is generally not used. It is a hole diagram used to mark and distinguish the size and position of the holes. A four-layer board has two more inner layers. The order of the layers is: TOP-VCC-GND-BOT TOP-GP1-GP2-BOT TOP-G1-G2-BOT
