Detailed explanation of the four detection methods of ultrasonic sensors [Copy link]

Modern sensor technology has huge application potential. It is an indispensable key component of highly automated systems and even modern cutting-edge technologies. As a detection device, the sensor can not only sense the information being measured,It can alsotransform the information sensed by the detection into electrical signals or other required forms of information output according to certain rulesHowever, the output signal of the sensor should be easy to transmit, process, store, display, record and control.
With the development of electronic and microelectronic technologies, the development of sensors is also changing with each passing day. People use sensors more frequently in production and life, and there are more and more types of sensors, such as: wireless sensors, radar sensors, infrared temperature sensors, geomagnetic magnetic object detection sensors, special light source sensors: sensors specifically used for water measurement. Ultrasonic sensors are one of the most widely used sensors. Ultrasonic sensors use the characteristics of ultrasonic technology to perform sensing work. For this purpose, the editor of Gongcai.com introduces the detection method of ultrasonic sensors.
Based on the volume, material, and whether the object can be moved, etc. the sensor detection applications include: presence detection: detection of object presence/position/count; color detection: detection and distinction of object color/concentration; size measurement: length/width/height/thickness/temperature/distance; deviation correction detection: appearance detection. However, the detection methods used by ultrasonic sensors are different. There are four common detection methods:
Penetration type: The transmitter and receiver are located on both sides. When the object to be detected passes between them, detection is performed based on the attenuation (or obstruction) of the ultrasonic wave.
Limited distance type: The transmitter and receiver are located on the same side. When the object to be detected passes within the limited distance, detection is performed based on the reflected ultrasonic wave.
Limited range type: The transmitter and receiver are located at the center of the limited range, the reflector is located at the edge of the limited range, and the attenuation value of the reflected wave when there is no obstruction by the detected object is used as the reference value. When the detected object passes through the limited range, detection is performed based on the attenuation of the reflected wave (compare the attenuation value with the reference value).
Regression reflection type: The transmitter and receiver are located on the same side, the detected object (plane object) is used as the reflection surface, and detection is performed based on the attenuation of the reflected wave.
Based on the above method, the state of a sensor can be detected. If precise detection is required, it is necessary to use different detection methods and standard ultrasonic sensors according to different occasions, detect the sensor, and calibrate the sensor according to the changes in the detected environment and output signals. And if conditions permit, perform temperature detection on related parameters. The ultrasonic sensor currently provided by Gongcai.com is a sensor based on the ultrasonic principle, which is used to help all objects that need to be detected obtain information about their surrounding environment. It can not only accurately detect objects and distances, but also provide excellent background suppression function and is not affected by various types of impurities in the environment. Detectobject information at different distances through non-contact or contact modes.
