Application of frequency converter in carpet manufacturing industry

Carpet back coating machine is a commonly used equipment in carpet production. At present, most domestic enterprises still use a single asynchronous motor as the transmission power source and operate by mechanical connection. Although the work is stable, it is difficult to obtain high-quality processing results. Some foreign countries use electro-hydraulic transmission, slip speed regulation or DC speed regulation, but they all have disadvantages and cannot adapt to environmental conditions (fire prevention, explosion prevention, fluff and dust, etc.). The frequency converter and asynchronous motor speed regulation method is cheap and effective. Figure 4 shows the structure of the carpet back coating machine system composed of frequency converter. This system is a synchronous control mode, with a slip rate of (1-5)%, a good torque curve, and the carpet back glue coating and cloth feeding and other transmission parts are synchronized and coordinated. Before the system is started, the command signal has been set to ensure that the glue coating amount and the cloth feeding speed are coordinated and synchronized, and to ensure that there is a certain tension adjustment between the cloth output and the cloth feeding. This system uses a 4-pole motor to take into account the low-speed torque characteristics of the motor and match it with the load torque. It is also required to have a linear soft start function, and the inverter is selected to be 5.5kW. The load characteristic of the rubber coating roller belongs to the deceleration load. In the load section, the motor is in the state of power generation and regenerative braking. Therefore, it is necessary to select a frequency converter with regenerative current conversion or a general frequency converter plus a braking unit, which is also very effective.
