The use of brake fluid in automobile anti-skid control system (Part 2)[Copy link]
(1) Open the reservoir cover and inject new brake fluid into the reservoir until the liquid level reaches the maximum liquid level mark (the "<" mark as shown in Figure 1).
(2) If the brake system has just been repaired, or if the brake pedal feels soft or the pedal travel is too long, the air should be discharged. The air discharge should be carried out strictly according to the prescribed procedures according to different vehicle models.
(3) Turn the ignition switch to the ignition position and repeatedly press and release the brake pedal until the electric pump starts to operate.
(4) After the electric pump stops operating, check the liquid level in the reservoir.
(5) If the liquid level in the reservoir is too high (exceeding the maximum liquid level mark), do not rush to release the excessive brake fluid, but repeat steps (3) and (4). Repeat several times and release the brake fluid only after confirming that the liquid level is too high.
(6) If the liquid level in the reservoir is lower than the maximum liquid level mark, add new brake fluid to the reservoir until the liquid level reaches the maximum mark. It should be noted that when adding brake fluid, the liquid level must not exceed the maximum level mark, otherwise, the brake fluid may overflow from the reservoir.
It is worth mentioning that the brake fluid level in the reservoir should be checked regularly, and if it is too low, it should be replenished in time. The electronic control device of the anti-skid control system monitors the brake fluid level according to the signal input by the level switch. If the brake fluid level is too low, the anti-skid control system will automatically shut down and will not work.
