AD's PCB PCB Tabbed Routing zigzag routing method [Copy link]

This post was last edited by Nubility on 2023-10-3 00:09

I saw a relatively new PCB routing method on the Internet. The routing adopts a "sawtooth" shape. At first glance, it seems inexplicable, but in fact, it is to compensate for the impact of impedance changes. Figure 1 is the effect drawn by Cadence software (the source of the picture is unknown), and Figure 2 is the effect I drew with AD. In fact, the technique for drawing this kind of sawtooth line is to draw a normal routing first, then use region to draw a trapezoid, put it in the appropriate position of the routing, and then batch copy and paste it.

Compared with the traditional bevel drawing method, I still prefer a more formal look.   Details Published on 2023-10-7 20:54

What kind of product are these solder pads with so many evenly distributed and symmetrical distances?

VGA pad?

This kind of solder joint design requires skill no matter which software is used
