Five major differences between public charging piles and home charging piles [Copy link]

1. Different charging times
Public charging piles are DC charging piles, which are generally high current, with a large charging head and a charging time of 30-120 minutes, so they are also called fast charging.
Home charging piles are AC charging piles, which are generally low current, with a small charging head, and a full charge is generally around 6-8 hours, so they are also called slow charging.
2. Different compatible models
Public charging piles are suitable for buses, trucks, buses and cars, and support mainstream models such as BAIC, JAC, Chery, BYD, Denza, Tesla, etc. Home charging piles are generally only suitable for small cars.
3. Different charging electricity charges
The charging electricity charge for public charging piles is generally: 1.6-1.8 yuan/kWh
The charging electricity charge for home charging piles is generally: 0.4-0.6 yuan/kWh
Taking a battery capacity of 49kwh and a mileage of 351km as an example:
a public full charge costs about 83.3 yuan, which means an average electricity charge of 0.237 yuan/kilometer.
A full charge at home costs about 24.5 yuan, which means the average electricity cost is 0.069 yuan per kilometer.
4. Battery loss
Whether it is a home or public charging station, it will cause certain damage to the battery. In comparison, public charging stations cause greater damage to the battery.
5. Charging station price
Charging station price: The price of a home charging station is generally 2000~3000, and there are additional installation fees, etc.
And a certain service fee is generally charged for each charging of a public charging station.

Battery technology has developed to the current level over the past century, which is remarkable. Personally, I think that if you arrange your time properly, it is better to use it at home. At least it will reduce the loss of the battery. Otherwise, if you charge it frequently and quickly, the battery voltage difference will increase and the cycle will be greatly shortened, and you will not be far from replacing the battery.

If this is installed at the doorsteps of every street and alley, the city landscape will become very strange. Remember the telephone booths of the past?

There are many home charging stations in the community now. It seems that they can only be used by oneself, but not by others.

In the future, I will mainly charge my battery at home. If there is a distributed solar power station, I won’t have to pay for electricity at all. I don’t know if the battery will last long enough.
