In order to debug the touch function of Renesas chip, I spent a lot of money to buy a Jlink11. It arrived today. I had installed the Jlink v8 driver before, and it can be used after plugging it in, but the shell is a little hot when I touch it. In order to find out, I took it apart to have a look.

The gap next to it is very wide. Insert your fingernail into the gap and open it easily:

The main control chip is NXP LPC4322JET100, and the heat source is the main control chip. It's a bit hot, I wonder if it will burn me in summer. Back:

I have a genuine one, it doesn't heat up, it keeps on being powered on for several days without heating up

Mine is a V9 with the same appearance as this one. I don't feel any heat. I have been using it for six or seven years.

V9 and v11 are not the same MCU. V9 seems to be stm32 F205. In my imagination, NXP should not heat up.

Overheating? Never encountered this before. I have always used the genuine Segger JLink programmer. Yours should be version D.

It's pretty much my habit, I take everything apart to see what I'm doing, and learn or modify it at the same time.

I usually don’t analyze this situation. I just add a heat sink first. Everything is easy to buy now.

The D version can really be distinguished at a glance, haha, I really don't feel the heating problem when using the genuine version

I don't have money to buy the genuine product, so today I bought two Jlink9s for 50 yuan including shipping. I don't know if they can be used.
