IC open drain output pin Hiz [Copy link]

The error output PIN FAULT_B of this IC is an open drain output. Does anyone know what Hiz means? I searched the entire manual and there is no explanation.

What does Hiz mean here? It means "high impedance state".   Details Published on 2022-10-3 08:03

"Hi-Z is a common term in digital circuits, which refers to an output state of a circuit, which is neither a high level nor a low level. If the high-impedance state is input to the next level circuit, it will have no effect on the next level circuit, just like not connected. If you use a multimeter to measure it, it may be a high level or a low level, depending on what is connected to it."
