SuperEye liquid lens, autofocus system with no moving parts [Copy link]

The second generation SuperEye builds on the advantages of the first generation by adopting liquid lenses, adding ranging sensors, laser positioning and controllable external light sources.
Targeted improvements have been made to barcode reading, dimensioning, optical character recognition (OCR), and positioning of dynamic parts, making operations more convenient in test and measurement applications.
The intuitive difference between the first and second versions is shown in the figure below:
The second version of SuperEye has more complete auxiliary functions and is more user-friendly. The lens can automatically zoom; determine the effective picture without a display; and independently control a single row of light sources to achieve a better shooting environment.
Specific advantages are as follows:
Liquid lenses have no moving parts that can wear out or fail. This makes installation, setup, and maintenance easy without having to open the reader and manually access the lens.
Compared to other autofocus mechanisms, liquid lenses have extremely fast response times and good optical quality. This lens is very suitable for reading distances that change with or due to changes in the workpiece.
Controllable external light source, Each row of lamp beads can be controlled independently, and can be supplemented with light according to different scenes to adjust to the best environment.
Laser positioning , laser points are set at the four inflection points of SuperEye to determine the range of the effective picture during use, eliminating the step of connecting to the monitor for alignment and adjustment.
Distance sensor, determines the distance between the camera and the object being photographed

The length and width of the second-generation SuperEye are consistent with the first-generation, and the height has been slightly increased. The overall design is still small and can be held in hand or carried around; SuperEye retains the previous design of the ring indicator light; the second generation adds a ring on the upper part, which can directly connect to the M12 lens. Before connecting the M12 lens, add a lens fastening ring to prevent loosening due to vibration during use; it is still compatible with C-type and CS-type lenses. The outermost ring retains the positioning hole of the external light source, which can fix the ordinary light source. The body has a 2PIN power supply interface.
