How to get started with ATMEL AVR microcontrollers? [Copy link]

Dear experts, I am a hardware engineer. I have some knowledge of MCU in school. Now I want to learn AVR MCU, but I don't know where to start? For example, I want to compile a temperature sensor program, ADC program, IO port program, LCD display program, etc. according to the template. How to compile the combination logic and download and debug these programs? Please give me some guidance, thank you!

Find a version of ICCAVR7.22, which has a configuration interface (like a wall of buttons), and configure it as required. It is relatively simple, and the rest is to write the program.

Thank you for your guidance! For a newbie like me, it's still difficult to get started

See if there are any development boards or corresponding training institutions, so you can get started faster.  Details Published on 2018-10-8 11:03

Buy a development board. Find one with abundant data and peripherals, and follow its tutorials to operate. The routines are all ready-made. You can implement the corresponding functions based on it. Study its materials together with the manual. Get familiar with the development environment. Master the common operations. And the programming language. You have to spend time to learn it. Compile these and read the tutorials of the development environment. There are instructions for basic operations.

Reply to the 4th and 5th floor: I have already bought an ATMAGE128 development board and will study it based on the tutorial.

Study the routines carefully. During the learning period, you should type them by hand, and do not copy and paste the code. If you do not know how to do it, look up information, go online, or go to forums. There are many channels.

Are you into hardware? That's easy, buy some chips and solder the minimum system board yourself.

Calm down and try to implement some functions yourself using the development board.
