Overview

The nRF52840 MDK USB Dongle is a small, low-cost development platform implemented by the nRF52840 multi-protocol SoC in a convenient USB Dongle form factor. The design features programmable user buttons, RGB LEDs, up to 12 GPIOs and an onboard 2.4G chip antenna. It can be used as a low-cost Bluetooth5/Thread/802.15.4/ANT/2.4GHz multi-protocol node or development board. Alternatively, the USB dongle can be used as a Network Coprocessor (NCP) by simply connecting to a PC or other USB-enabled device. It comes with UF2 Bootloader and supports nRF Connect SDK, which integrates Zephyr RTOS, protocol stack, examples, hardware drivers, etc. The adapter works with Wireshark as a Bluetooth Low Energy and IEEE 802.15.4 packet sniffer and has PCBA and w/Case options to suit a variety of scenarios.
