1. PCB routing
Since the four TypeA female sockets are in a "cross" layout, it is not easy to route the differential pairs. Pay special attention to the equal lengths. Spend more time to route the wires well.
2.Hardware welding
During the soldering process, it was found that the TypeC male socket and HUB chip are prone to weak soldering! ! ! I also found that after soldering at the beginning, the computer could not recognize it and could not be used. After checking for a long time, I found that one of the pins of the HUB chip was soldered, so I had to be very careful. After soldering, I must use a multimeter to test each pin. Are the pins soldered correctly?
3.Model shell
In the early stages of design, I made the PCB of the docking station into a shape similar to a turtle. In order to make it more realistic, it was necessary to add a 3D shell, so that the overall product would be more like a small turtle.
But, I drew a few small turtle shells myself, but they looked a bit awkward, and I couldn’t find a suitable one online. So, I put the shells away for now and will add them to the attachments when I find a suitable one (Okay! ).
