Whether in terms of function or performance, the MSC1210 microcontroller of Texas Instruments (TI) has reached the pinnacle of mixed signal processing. It integrates an enhanced 8051 core, has 8-way 24-bit low-power (4roW) A/D converters; 21 interrupt sources; 16-bit PWM; full-duplex UART (compatible with SPI function); stop mode current is less than 1 A; the execution speed is 3 times faster than the standard 8051 core and is fully compatible; 32K bytes of FLASH are integrated on the chip, and FLASH can be defined as program partition and data storage partition, which brings great flexibility to the design; the SRAM on the chip is as much as 1.2K bytes; and it uses a small TQFP64 package. With such high analog and digital integration, MCS1210 is an ideal integration choice for various requirements of small size, high integration and precise measurement. Table 1 lists the main features of MSC1210.
