Comparative study on performance of dynamic RWA algorithms based on damage awareness

Starting from the evolution of optical networks towards transparent architecture and the business-oriented development trend, the relevant research on the damage-aware RWA problem is introduced. By adding consideration of damage effects to the classic RWA algorithm, a dynamic RWA algorithm with damage-aware capability (IBest, IFF, IPack) is proposed and simulated and verified. The results show that in an impaired environment, the dynamic RWA algorithm with damage-aware capability can maintain the advantages of the classic algorithm and has better performance than the classic algorithm in terms of blocking rate.
