TOPSwitch?GX is a cost-effective monolithic switching power supply. The following introduces a method for using characteristic curves to quickly select TOPSwitch?GX chips and estimate power efficiency η and chip power consumption PD. The rapid design method can provide an important basis for designing monolithic switching power supplies. TOPSwitch?GX has two AC input modes: wide range input (AC 85V~265V, also known as the world's universal power supply voltage input) and fixed input (AC 230V±15%, also known as single power supply voltage input). The following introduces four quick selection curves and their use methods and design examples.
