Profile

Atmel product marketing manager Eirik Slettahjell introduced the new Qtouch Surface platform, designed for user interfaces using capacitive touch. We are showcasing this new Qtouch Surface platform at CES 2015, powered by Atmel | SMART MCU and equipped with the widely adopted QTouch capacitive touch button sensing technology. This new solution contains a monolithic Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC), the primary technology that provides high-quality capacitive touch functionality in Atmel MCUs. Consuming less than 4µA, Qtouch Surface technology is suitable for wearable products and other battery-powered applications with capacitive touch user interfaces.
