At present, the applications of visual perception cameras in intelligent connected vehicles mainly include the following six types:
1. Intelligent assisted driving function: In order to achieve intelligent assisted driving operations of the vehicle, smart connected vehicles generally have 4-8 external visual perception cameras in the front, rear, and both sides of the vehicle to provide the driver with surrounding environment information and help realize assisted driving functions including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, pedestrian and vehicle collision warning, etc.
2. 360° panoramic view system: A 360° panoramic view system is generally composed of 4-6 high dynamic range, high resolution cameras, which are distributed in front of the car, behind the car, and on both sides of the car body; the camera can form a bird's-eye view of the collected image information and project it onto the car's central control to help car owners understand the surrounding conditions of the vehicle and avoid scratches.
3. Chassis perspective imaging system: The chassis perspective imaging system projects the image information in front of the vehicle and under the front of the vehicle on the central touch screen in real time, allowing the owner to clearly see the road conditions under the vehicle chassis. It is currently a popular configuration.
4. Transparent A-pillar: The transparent A-pillar uses an OLED flexible screen to seamlessly connect with the A-pillar interior. Combined with the independently developed intelligent software algorithm and external high-definition camera, it can achieve "transparent" visualization of the A-pillar, reduce blind spots, and improve driving safety to a certain extent.
5. Electronic rearview mirror: The electronic rearview mirror is a device that completely replaces the physical rearview mirror with a camera, and uses the cameras on both sides of the car to collect road information on both sides. At the same time, an LCD screen is added on each side of the front row of the cockpit near the car window to display image information.
6. 360° panoramic camera: As we mentioned above, some models of new car manufacturers are equipped with 360° panoramic cameras, which are not only used to detect the environment around the car body, but also can control the camera's lifting and 360° rotation, so that you can capture the scenery along the way with one click and share it with the community.
