This case is a configuration case of Kaijiang Intelligent Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway connecting to Schneider PLC. The devices used are a Siemens 1200PLC, a KJ-PNG-206 gateway, and a Schneider PLC.
Configuration method:
Open Botu, create a new project and add the gsd file;
Establish a Profinet connection, set the IP address and device name of the Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway. The IP address should be in the same network segment as the Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway.
Enter the device view and select the total data length of input and output;
Add the selected length from the hardware catalog on the right;
Download the configuration to the PLC, open the Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway configuration software to configure the Modbus parameters, click New in the red circle, and select PN2MS;
Set the IP address and device name of the Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway to be consistent with the PLC configuration;
Set the server IP of Modbus TCP and keep it in the same network segment as Schneider PLC with different IP;
Note: The data area of the Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway supports multiple function codes. Register addresses 0-749 correspond to the I address area of Siemens PLC, and after 750, they correspond to the Q address area of PLC. That is to say, Schneider needs to read the Q address area data of Siemens PLC from address 750, and write the data to the I address area of Siemens PLC from register address 0. After configuring the IP and register address of the Profinet to ModbusTCP gateway slave in the Schneider PLC configuration, it can be used normally.
