The SD130T is a complete dual-cell Li-ion battery charger with reverse polarity protection and constant current/constant voltage linear control. The low number of external components makes the SD130T ideal for portable applications. The SD130T can work with both USB power and adapter power.
Due to the internal PMOSFET architecture and anti-reverse charging circuit, no external detection resistor and isolation diode are required. Thermal feedback can automatically adjust the charging current to limit the chip temperature under high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The full charge voltage is fixed at 4.25V, and the internal preset 1A charging current. When the battery reaches 4.25V, the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, and the SD130T will automatically terminate charging.
When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the SD130T automatically enters a low current state with battery drain current below 3uA. Other features of the SD130T include charge current monitor, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge and two status pins for indicating end of charge and input voltage presence.
