【Example 2】
A drilling machine uses two drill bits to drill two holes at the same time. Before starting automatic operation, the two drill bits are at the top, and the upper limit switches SQ2 and SQ4 are ON. After the operator places the workpiece, he presses the start button SB1. After the workpiece is clamped, the two drill bits start working at the same time. When they drill to the depth set by the limit switches SQ1 and SQ3, they move upward respectively, and when they return to the starting position set by the limit switches SQ2 and SQ4, they stop moving upward respectively. When both drill bits reach the starting position, the workpiece is released. After the workpiece is released, the processing is completed and the system returns to the initial state. The processing schematic diagram of the drilling machine is shown in Figure 1, and the functional diagram and ladder diagram are designed.
