Servo drives are also called servo amplifiers. Servo drives are similar, so you only need to understand 1-2 types. This article integrates various information and personal understanding:

1. There are three control modes for servo amplifiers:

1. Speed control: Control of rotation speed through analog input or pulse frequency 2. Position control: Commonly used control in servo, the rotation speed is determined by the external input pulse frequency, and the rotation angle is determined by the number of pulses. Generally used in positioning devices, such as CNC machine tools. 3. Torque control: Set the output torque through external analog or direct address assignment.

2. Wiring location description:

CN3: USB communication port, used to connect to a computer CN1: used to connect input and output signals, analog signals, analog monitoring output signals and RS-422/485 communication (RS-485 communication requires data exchange with the servo drive. The wiring method is also very simple. Connect line A and line B to 485+ and 485- respectively) CN2: used to connect the servo motor encoder (the encoder is a rotary sensor that converts rotational displacement into a series of digital pulse signals. These pulses can be used to control angular displacement)

1. AD analog quantity acquisition, converting analog signals into digital signals for easy processing by digital devices. The analog quantity input channel here refers to converting analog quantity signals of process parameters of the controlled object such as temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level, etc. into digital quantity signals that can be received by the computer.

2. DA is an interface that converts digital signals into analog signals and connects to the outside world. Analog monitoring refers to the use of traditional analog signal acquisition, transmission, and display.

3. RS-485 communication can be understood as follows: In a device network connected by devices, if the number of devices exceeds 2, RS485 acts as a communication medium to achieve two-way access to data.

4. I/O control, servo ON, command pulse train input, start, fault, etc.
