This stereo balance indicator circuit diagram has been designed using very few common external components. The schematic circuit is very easy to build and will provide a visual indication with LEDs for left, right and center balance. The output of each channel is fed to the two inputs of IC 1, which are connected as a differential amplifier . The output of IC1 is connected to the non-inverting inputs of IC2 and IC3. If the output of IC1 is close to the power rails, the outputs of IC2 and IC3 will light up LED 3, which will indicate that the right channel is dominant. If the sound is balanced to the left channel, Ic2 and IC3 will go low and LED1 will light up. If the amplitudes of both channels are equal, the outputs of IC2 and IC3 will be low and high respectively, lighting up LED2.
