The wind pressure failure of Midea gas water heater is related to water pressure, but it is not necessarily caused by water pressure. Normal wind pressure and water pressure are necessary conditions for the normal operation of gas water heater.

When we turn on the hot water tap, the water-gas linkage valve pushes the pressure detection switch through the mechanical structure. When the switch is closed, the pulse controller of the water heater outputs 220v working voltage to the forced exhaust fan. The fan drives the wind pressure switch to operate, and the action signal is fed back to the pulse controller. At the same time, the temperature sensor signal is detected to be normal. The pulse controller outputs the working voltage of the solenoid valve coil, and the ignition pulse controller outputs high-voltage pulse ignition, and the water heater starts to burn. When there is a wind pressure failure, we check from the following aspects to see what corresponding failure phenomena and solutions there are:

1: Remove the water heater shell, turn on the hot water tap, and observe whether the forced exhaust fan rotates normally. If it rotates normally, it means that the cause of the wind pressure failure is likely to be the wind pressure detection switch, the wind pressure duct connection is not sealed tightly, or the duct is aged and cracked. Failures caused by these two reasons can be eliminated by replacing the wind pressure switch and the wind pressure duct;

2: Turn on the hot water tap, the water pressure detection micro switch is activated, and the forced exhaust fan does not rotate, resulting in a wind pressure fault alarm. For this kind of wind pressure fault, we need to detect whether the pulse ignition controller outputs 220v working voltage. If there is voltage, check whether the motor and starting capacitor are normal. Find the corresponding faulty component and replace it to eliminate the fault;

3: When the hot water tap is turned on, the forced exhaust fan does not work, and the water pressure detection switch does not work. This kind of fault usually reports a water pressure fault, and sometimes both wind pressure and water pressure faults are reported. Common reasons are that the water pressure switch is blocked, the rubber film in the water-gas linkage valve is leaking, the connecting rod is stuck by foreign objects and cannot move, and the water pressure at home is too low to reach the lower limit of the normal working pressure of the water heater. Find the fault point and troubleshoot the fault based on these reasons.

The above is the maintenance idea of the cause of the wind pressure failure of the water heater (Midea water heater), that is, whether it is related to the water pressure.
