With the development of the economy, our family televisions have become LCD TVs. Whether it is LCD TV or the traditional TV, it has always been a favorite appliance for the elderly and children. So how much radiation pollution does LCD TV cause? What is the current situation of radiation pollution from LCD TV?

Current Status of LCD TV Radiation Pollution

The development trend of television products is that LCD TVs are gradually replacing traditional cathode ray tube televisions (CRTs) and becoming an indispensable household appliance in people's lives. This replacement trend itself shows that the radiation rate of LCD TVs is much lower than that of traditional cathode ray tube televisions (CRTs).

In fact, people with some common sense will know that when electricity passes through a conductor, a magnetic field will be generated. Therefore, in terms of radiation damage alone, LCD TVs do not have as strong radiation damage as CRT screens. Its radiation itself is smaller than that of a cathode ray tube, but it is impossible to say that there is no radiation at all. After all, it is an electronic device. In addition to the LCD panel, it also has many internal circuit components. At best, it can only be said to be "low radiation" rather than "zero radiation". The principle of radiation is that electric current generates a magnetic field, the magnetic field generates an electric field, and the electric field generates a magnetic field in an infinite cycle. Moreover, the LCD TV screen is larger than the commonly used TV screen, so according to the total radiation area of the LCD TV, radiation is still inevitable.

The LCD TVs currently produced generally do not cause harm to the human body. It’s just that due to the different manufacturing processes of each manufacturer, the radiation values of the LCD TVs produced will also be different.

If the radiation is below 0.4μT, it is relatively safe. The unit of radio frequency electromagnetic wave is μW/cm2. The radiation evaluation report shows that the test results of LCD TVs, whether within half a meter or 3 meters from the front, when turned on, watching normally, changing channels, and in standby mode, are all 0.1μT, and the side is only 0.11μT, which means that the radiation intensity has basically not changed.

The editor suggests that it is best to place drought-resistant green plants such as cacti, ocotillos or aloe vera near the LCD TV.
