The servo motor uses a three-phase synchronous motor, which is characterized by the rotor:
There are no squirrel cage bars in three-phase asynchronous motors; there are many patches on the rotor, which are permanent magnets (NdFeB). In this way, the rotor actually has its own magnetic field, unlike the asynchronous motor which generates a magnetic field by induction current.
There are two ways to install permanent magnets:
1 is the surface mount type, which is the style shown in the figure, and the permanent magnet is attached to the surface;
2是內嵌式,需要在转子上打孔,将永磁材料填充进去;
Surface mount type: has the advantages of simple structure, low manufacturing cost and small moment of inertia;
Inline type: If the speed is fast enough, such as 1wr/min or even 3wr/min, it is better to use the inline type;
The rotor punchings have high mechanical strength, and the rotor is not easily deformed after the permanent magnets are installed.
Compare with the common induction motor three-phase asynchronous motor:
Its rotor is of squirrel cage type; when AC is passed through the stator, a rotating magnetic field is generated in the stator. The rotating magnetic field cuts the cage bars when rotating, thereby generating an induced current inside the cage bars. The induced current generates a magnetic field that attracts the stator magnetic field.
In this way, the rotor will rotate following the magnetic field in the previous stator, and the rotor of the servo motor has its own magnetic field, so the servo motor is more efficient than the induction three-phase asynchronous motor.
1. Market size In recent years, the scale of China's servo motor market has maintained a growth trend. Affected by the expansion of downstream industries such as industrial robots and electronic manufacturing equipment, the application scale of servo motors in emerging industries has also continued to grow. In 2019, the scale of China's servo motor market reached 14.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.77%. It is expected that the market scale will grow to 18.1 billion yuan in 2022.

At present, the global servo motor market has formed a three-legged situation of Asia, Europe and North America, among which Germany, Japan, Italy and the United States are the countries with the largest share of servo motor applications. Asia-Pacific servo motor demand accounts for 37% of the total, Europe accounts for 28%, and North America accounts for 24%.

4. Downstream Analysis
China's servo motor downstream applications are photovoltaics, among which machine tools, especially CNC machine tools, are the most widely used, accounting for 20.4%. The next largest applications are electronic manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, textile machinery, robots, plastic machinery, medical machinery and food machinery, accounting for 16.5%, 12.6%, 12.1%, 8.7%, 8.2%, 3.6% and 2.3% respectively.

1. CNC machine tools
With the support of national policies and the continuous pursuit of innovation by domestic enterprises, China's CNC machine tool industry has developed rapidly and the scale of the industry has continued to expand. In 2019, the scale of China's CNC machine tool industry reached 327 billion yuan. It is expected that the scale of the CNC machine tool industry will reach 378 billion yuan in 2022.
