Servo drive motor, referred to as servo motor, is a product with an encoder integrated on the basis of an ordinary motor.


What is a servo? Its original meaning is a slave. The developers hope that the system can work perfectly according to the needs of the users. Some friends may wonder, has the Terminator robot come out in advance? How can the machine have its own consciousness? This

is not what I mean. What I am talking about here is an open-loop controlled device. After the controller issues a working command to let the motor run, it is impossible to control how many circles it turns and what position it turns to. This is a command that goes but never returns.

In this case, we cannot guarantee the movement accuracy of the motor. On the other hand, if the controller can receive the movement feedback of the motor and perform error correction at the same time, then in theory, can the controller perfectly control the operation of the motor? The servo motor was born.


The structure used to collect the output motion signal on the servo is called an encoder, which is connected to the motor rotor. When the PLC or other controller transmits the motion command to the servo driver through the bus, the driver drives the motor to run and the rotor rotates.

Since the encoder is connected to the rotor, the rotor's speed information, position information, and torque information will be perfectly fed back to the servo driver by the encoder. Through the PID motion control program, the servo will gradually eliminate the motion error and achieve perfect synchronous control.
