Sometimes the transformer is used in a bad environment, such as our coal mine site, and the safety protection device is very important. As we all know, the coal dust in the coal mine is very large, which is easy to cause gas explosion. Therefore, in this environment, our transformer must be equipped with a gas explosion-proof protection device. It can effectively isolate coal dust or corrosive gas and avoid the danger of gas explosion caused by transformer temperature rise.
Usually, after the transformer has been running for a period of time, we will find that the temperature of the transformer will become very high. If the temperature during the operation of the transformer exceeds the insulation tolerance temperature, it will damage the insulation and accelerate the service life of the transformer. If a temperature rise protection device is installed when the transformer is selected, when the transformer is running, if the temperature rise is too high, the protection device will be activated. We can also check the cause of the excessive temperature rise as soon as possible, and deal with and solve it in time.
In the process of using the transformer, there is another protection device that is also very important, that is, overexcitation protection, which is mainly to protect the transformer from overexcitation exceeding the allowable range. Why should the transformer be installed with an excitation protection device? The main purpose is to detect the overexcitation of the transformer, send a signal in time or automatically trip the protection device to prevent damage from overexcitation.
In addition to the above three types of transformer protection devices, there are also common transformer overload protection devices, transformer overcurrent protection devices, transformer differential protection devices and current quick-break protection devices.
