Following is a 4 x 25W Quad Audio Amplifier circuit (an amplifier with four inputs and four outputs) based on TDA7381. This amplifier is designed for car audio systems but you can also use this circuit for other purposes. The design of this circuit is very simple and easy to build.

If properly laid out and connected to standard car radio speakers, the TDA7381 is inherently stable and requires no external compensation, such as an output RC unit. Due to the number of channels involved, this represents a very significant component saving compared to similar devices on the market.


To simplify PCB layout design, each amplifier stage has its own externally accessible power ground (pins 2, 8, 18, 24) and each pair of supply voltage pins.

About TDA7381:

The TDA7381 is a class AB audio power amplifier in a Flexiwatt25 package, designed for car radio applications. You can use this circuit for other applications such as mp3 players, computers, etc. Due to the fully complementary PNP/NPN output configuration, the TDA7381 allows rail-to-rail output voltage swing without the need for a bootstrap capacitor.


The extremely low component count allows for a very compact kit. On-board clipping detectors simplify gain compression operation. Fault diagnostics can detect errors during car radio assembly and wiring
