A bass booster headphone amplifier circuit is a circuit that can improve the quality of music from your audio device. Especially in the low frequencies (bass). A bass booster headphone amplifier circuit also improves the dynamics and sounds great on your headphones or small speakers.
This headphone amplifier circuit uses LM386 IC as its heart. This chip is very famous and can be easily found in the market. LM386 IC requires only a few external components to work.
As shown in the figure, resistor R8 acts as a burden to the source device. This is very important because it will drown out the noise (noise is not good) from the input source. C6 and R3 act as a high frequency filter, while R7 and C5 act as a low frequency filter.
Resistor R4 will limit the bass frequencies up to 3dB, and resistor R6 will limit the "encouragement" by a maximum of 13dB. Capacitor C1 in the headphone amplifier circuit is a filter to ground, these capacitors will eliminate unwanted high frequency interference.
This headphone amplifier circuit can work normally at voltage 9VDC. This voltage can be found on the battery pack. Makes the headphone amplifier circuit look very compact and small.
