As the concept of motor energy saving gradually deepens, the switched reluctance motor is being used in various occasions due to its following characteristics. The switched reluctance motor is a motor based on the reluctance regulation principle. Compared with the traditional permanent magnet synchronous motor, it has the following performance characteristics:

1. High efficiency and good energy-saving effect. After testing, its overall efficiency is at least 3% higher than that of AC asynchronous motor variable frequency speed regulation system, and can be increased by at least 10% at low speed. Compared with DC speed regulation, cascade speed regulation, electromagnetic speed regulation, etc., the power saving effect is more obvious.

2. The starting torque is large, which is suitable for heavy-load starting and occasions where the load changes significantly and is started frequently. Tests have found that when the starting torque reaches 150% of the rated torque, the starting current is only 30% of the rated current, which is a very obvious advantage.

3. Wide speed regulation range. The switched reluctance motor can run at low speed for a long time. Due to its high efficiency, the temperature rise at low speed is lower than that at rated working conditions, which solves the problem of motor heating when the variable frequency speed regulating motor runs at low speed. The maximum speed can also be flexibly set according to actual conditions.

4. It can start and stop frequently in forward and reverse direction, the system has good controllability and braking performance, can achieve regenerative braking, and has significant power saving effect.

5. Small starting current to avoid impact on the power grid. The switched reluctance motor has a soft starting characteristic, and there is no phenomenon that the starting current of ordinary AC motors is greater than 5-7 times the rated current.

6. The power factor is high, and no reactive compensation device needs to be added. Tests have found that the power factor of the switched reluctance motor system is greater than 0.98 both at no load and full load.

7. The motor has a simple and firm structure, simple manufacturing process, low cost, and reliable operation, and can be used in various harsh high temperature and strong vibration environments.

8. It can still work when there is a phase loss or overload. When the power supply is phase-lost or any phase of the motor or controller fails, the motor output power is reduced, but it can still run. When the system exceeds the load by more than 120%, the speed will only decrease without burning the motor and control cabinet.

9. The power converter in the controller is connected in series with the motor winding, so the direct fault that may occur in the power converter of the variable frequency speed regulation system will not occur, and the reliability is greatly improved.

10. Disadvantages: The motor has torque pulsation at low speed and noise during operation, but the noise is lower than the national standard. With the continuous improvement of technology, these problems are being gradually solved.

Excellent speed regulation performance: The speed and torque of the switched reluctance motor can be controlled by adjusting the size and position of the magnetic resistance. It has good speed regulation performance and is suitable for application scenarios that require precise control of speed and torque.

Low noise and small vibration: Since there is no permanent magnet on the rotor of the switched reluctance motor, the magnetic field between the rotor and the stator is relatively stable, and the noise and vibration are relatively small.

Good anti-interference ability: The switched reluctance motor uses advanced control algorithms and digital signal processing technology in the control circuit, has strong anti-interference ability, and is suitable for application scenarios with complex working environment and large interference.

High reliability: The switched reluctance motor adopts advanced control technology and materials, has good durability and reliability, and can meet long-term stable working requirements.

Compact structure: Compared with permanent magnet synchronous motor, the switched reluctance motor has no magnetic coupling between the rotor and the stator, and has a simpler and more compact structure, which is suitable for application scenarios that require miniaturization and lightweight.
