4Other intelligent technology applications

As a demonstration project of China Southern Power Grid, the Zhaoqing 110KV Port Substation includes, in addition to vertical integration and miniaturized secondary equipment, intelligent pilot applications as shown in Table 1.

5 Conclusion

Vertically integrated devices, a single device realizes the functions of interval protection, measurement and control, and merging unit/intelligent terminal, with fewer sampling links, fast response, fewer optical ports, less heat, less SCD workload, simple and clear integration and debugging, saving the number of devices, reducing switch ports, and reducing the amount of optical fiber: miniaturized secondary equipment, reducing the number of cabinets and the length of cables and optical cables between devices, saving floor space, and reducing construction costs. In the Zhaoqing 110kv port substation, the pilot of vertical integration, miniaturized secondary equipment and other intelligent applications can promote technology iteration, promote innovative development, summarize and accumulate experience and technology promotion and application conditions, form an effective model, and contribute to exploring the future development direction of the smart substation of the Southern Power Grid.
