With the rapid development of electronic technology, electronic equipment is showing a trend of high power and miniaturization, and the requirements for the performance and indicators of electronic transformers are getting higher and higher. Traditional electronic transformers are far from meeting the requirements of market development. Therefore, various electronic transformers with new technologies, new materials and new processes have gradually appeared in the market, constantly injecting new vitality into the electronic transformer industry and enhancing the market potential of electronic transformers.
In order to better adapt to the miniaturization of electronic equipment, an important development direction of electronic transformers is to start from the overall structure and form new electronic transformers of generation after generation: R-type transformers. The overall structure of the electronic transformer forms a new core structure and line structure; the use of new materials brings new development directions for technology and production processes.
In the 1980s, Japan successfully developed a new type of electronic transformer with high technology, high performance and energy saving. Because the core is made of high-quality oriented cold-rolled silicon steel strips of different widths, the cross section is circular and can be wound without cutting. It looks like the English letter R, so it is named R transformer.
The emergence of the R transformer was called the transformer revolution at the time. It was noiseless, had low magnetic leakage, low no-load current, low iron damage, and high efficiency. Because the coil was cylindrical, the copper wire was short, the internal resistance was small, the copper consumption was low, the temperature rise was low, and the overload fluctuation was small, the function was better than that of ordinary transformers. Its primary and secondary coils were made of flame-retardant PBT engineering plastics and were wound separately, with high electrical strength and good flame retardancy.
The R-type transformer is superior to ordinary transformers in material selection and process. It has many excellent properties. Its magnetic leakage is small, which is 1/20 of that of ordinary transformers, and its efficiency is high. Since the core of the R-type transformer is not cut, the iron loss is low and the efficiency can reach about 98%. The R-type transformer has good frequency characteristics, works within the audio range, and has very low voltage waveform distortion, so many audio equipment manufacturers are vying to use R-type transformers.
As we all know, R transformer is small in size and light in weight, 30% smaller, 40% lighter and 40% thinner than ordinary transformers. R transformer has low heat and no noise in daily applications. Since it is wound with a non-cut iron core, the amount of copper is small, the copper consumption is low, and the heating is low. Since there is no cutting, the magnetic expansion is easily absorbed, so there is no noise in daily applications. Due to these outstanding features, many mining equipment and medical equipment gradually use R transformers to transform voltage to ensure production safety.
