First, you need to understand how to view and modify the function codes of various inverters;
For inverters from different manufacturers, you can only ask the manufacturer for the user manual of the corresponding model to set the parameters; because their function codes, names, setting ranges, and factory default values are different.
Here I will use the Inovance 380 general-purpose inverter to briefly explain how to change the operating frequency. The Inovance 380 inverter panel operation instructions are shown in the figure below.
After understanding the panel operation keys in the figure above, you need to be familiar with the role and operation functions of the panel operation keyboard, as shown in the figure below.
Generally, the operation panel of the frequency converter adopts a three-level menu structure for parameter setting operations.
The three-level menus are: ① Function parameter group (first level menu); ② Function code menu (second level menu); ③ Function code setting value (third level menu). Generally, you enter from function parameter group (first level menu) → enter function code (second level menu) → then enter function code setting value (third level menu). As shown in the figure below.
When operating the third-level menu, you can press the PRG key or the ENTER key to return to the second-level menu. The only difference between the two is that pressing the ENTER key will save the set parameters and return to the second-level menu, and can automatically transfer to the next function code; while pressing the PRG key will abandon the current parameter modification and directly return to the second-level menu of the current function code number. The following are the steps on how to change the current 30Hz to 50HZ operating frequency, as shown in the figure below.
The display window now shows the current operating frequency of 30Hz. Press the PRG key → F0 function code appears → then press the up △ key, and stop after F3 appears → press the ENTER key again → wait for F3.00 to appear → press the up △ key → when it is F3-02 → press the ENTER key, it will display 30.00 → press the up △ key to change it to 50.00 and stop, press the ENTER key, F3.03 will flash, press PRG again to display F3 on the display window, then press PRG to confirm and you are done.
