Speaker cable: A cable used to transmit dynamic information. It is composed of an audio cable and a connector. AV cable is the most commonly used audio cable.

Audio cable: A cable specifically used to connect the power amplifier and speakers in audio equipment.

The audio cable directly passes the power signal. Due to the large current passing through, the copper core of the cable is usually thicker. In order to ensure high-frequency passage and reduce resistance attenuation, most of them are silver-plated, gold-plated or oxygen-free copper wires.

Audio cables pass low-power, low-current signals and have high impedance, making them easily disturbed. Therefore, they are usually shielded cables and are relatively thin.

Audio cables usually have a shielding layer, but speaker cables usually do not have a shielding layer. The key is to reduce resistance. Among speaker cables, the more expensive ones are oxygen-free copper speaker cables, which have good conductivity and low resistivity.

Common audio cable standards include: 3.5 to 3.5, double lotus and speaker cable. 3.5 to 3.5 is actually our headphone cable. Double lotus is also called audio one-to-two, which has a wide range of applications and can be used in mobile phones, computers, DVD players, speakers, and is a widely used audio cable. It is usually divided into 3.5 to double lotus, four-pin double lotus and six-pin double lotus.

Speaker wires are usually divided into copper-plated speaker wires and oxygen-free copper speaker wires. Speaker wires are divided into 10-, 200-, 300-, 500-, and 600-count speaker wires. The original number of wires is the core of the speaker wire. Generally, the more wires, the better the effect, and the higher the price. However, if it is for home use or general speaker wires, 200 to 300 wires are enough.
