WPG Holdings, a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Quanta Semiconductor has launched a home smoke exhaust fan solution based on Toshiba's TB9062FNG three-phase brushless sensorless pre-driver IC.

The range hood is the most important tool for cooking. It can take away a lot of kitchen fumes produced when frying and cooking, thus preventing people from inhaling carcinogens in the fumes. At the current stage, with the continuous improvement of technology, people have put forward higher requirements for range hoods, including low noise, variable frequency power saving, and high exhaust efficiency. In order to achieve these requirements, a high-performance motor is essential. The kitchen range hood solution launched by Dalian Daquan Ding uses Toshiba TB9062FNG's three-phase brushless sensorless pre-driver IC, which can help the product achieve excellent performance.

TB9062FNG是个三相无刷无传感器预驱动IC,其可以在不使用微控制器和霍尔传感器的情况下控制电机转速及扭力,这可以减少MCU开发时的工作量。此外,由于产品省去了霍尔元器件,因此不仅有助于缩小MCU板的尺寸,也提升了整体的BOM Cost down的优势,并且这些优势相较传统式电机控制所需要的ECU与霍尔元件来的更加显著。
