E Ink, a global leader in electronic paper, announced that its newly launched E Ink Spectra™ 3100 four-color electronic paper display technology, black, white, red and yellow, has been adopted by TPV Technology, a global leading manufacturer of personal computer monitors and LCD TVs. TPV will use this technology to launch a 7.3-inch desktop color electronic paper billboard.
The desktop color electronic paper billboard is designed with a double-sided E Ink Spectra™ 3100 electronic paper display, which can present vivid and colorful images through the four-color ink particles of black, white, red and yellow. The product is planned to be promoted for information display and product billboard applications in scenarios such as enterprises, restaurants, banks and retail.
E Ink and TPV Technology jointly launch 7.3-inch desktop color e-paper billboard
Since electronic paper has the bi-stable characteristics of power saving and continuous display without consuming power, the 7.3-inch color electronic paper billboard is powered by batteries, making it wireless and easy to move. In addition, electronic paper does not emit light by itself, but displays by reflecting ambient light, which can avoid interfering with the environment. It is suitable for digital display scenarios such as conference room nameplates, table signs, event agenda signs, restaurant tableside promotional billboards, and bank counter information signs.

The 7.3-inch color e-paper billboard can be used with the mobile phone APP developed by AOC to replace the displayed images and texts. The operation interface is simple and fast, and the content can be updated quickly in real time. It can also reduce the paper consumption of paper table signs and advertising posters, and save the time cost of paper printing and manpower posting, which helps to improve work efficiency.

E Ink Chairman Li Zhenghao said: "We are very pleased to work with TPV Technology to develop color e-paper billboards using E Ink Spectra™ 3100 technology, expanding E Ink Spectra™ 3100 from retail e-paper price tags to electronic billboards in business, catering and other fields, enriching the application scope of four-color e-paper technology. In the future, E Ink will continue to work with ecosystem partners to create smart and environmentally friendly e-paper products based on the color e-paper technology required by different smart scenarios."
"TPV and E Ink have expanded and deepened their collaboration in the e-paper market to continue developing and operating new products and applications," said Lin Chunfu, Vice President of TPV Technology Group. "We are very pleased to receive positive feedback from customers on the promotion of the new 7.3-inch black, white, red and yellow table cards. TPV will continue to work with E Ink to develop more e-paper products for IoT applications."
E Ink Spectra™ 3100 four-color electronic paper technology will be used in electronic billboards in the fields of business, catering, etc.
In the future, TPV Technology will give priority to introducing conference room table sign applications into its four factories in China. In addition to enterprise applications, TPV Technology will also promote color e-paper billboards for government agencies, banks, restaurants, retail and other scenarios. The 7.3-inch color e-paper billboard is expected to be officially launched in July 2021.
