Nine Chinese companies, including Xiaomi, a mobile phone manufacturer, and COMAC, an aircraft manufacturer, have been added to the so-called "Chinese military-related" blacklist by the US government. According to Reuters, according to the relevant investment ban, US investors must sell their shares in the "blacklisted" companies before November 11 this year.

Also on the 14th, the U.S. Department of Commerce included CNOOC in the Entity List and Beijing Skyrizon in the "military end user" list on the grounds of suspected endangerment to "national security". Reuters commented that the Trump administration's continuous expansion of the investment ban "blacklist" is to consolidate its tough "political legacy" against China in the last few days of its term. So far, 35 Chinese companies including SMIC and CNOOC are on the list.
