The battle against the epidemic is at a critical stage. In order to prevent the spread of the virus, avoiding close contact between people has become a key epidemic prevention measure. In public places, people consciously keep a distance of more than one meter from others and start to queue and take the subway in a "Nordic style". In order to ensure the smooth operation of social life under "contactless" conditions, various robots have used their unique skills. Let's take a look at what black technology robots have appeared during the epidemic?
AI helps community epidemic prevention management
The community is the foundation for implementing grid management and the first line of defense for infectious disease prevention and control. In order to help the community prevent the epidemic and avoid cross-infection, Tencent Youtu has launched anti-epidemic functions such as health declaration, vehicle and people management, temperature screening, and intelligent isolation, which have been implemented in many communities across the country. In response to the peak of return trips, many communities have enabled online health declaration. Based on Tencent Youtu's AI identity verification technology, users can use WeChat online real-name verification to improve the efficiency of health declaration, and signing a letter of commitment after identity verification is more legally effective.
For the entrances and exits of closed communities and open key areas, Tencent Youtu AI recognition technology can assist community members in applying for electronic access passes online; at the same time, thermal imaging cameras, thermal imaging access control machines and other equipment integrated with Tencent Youtu AI recognition technology can realize real-time identity recognition, body temperature measurement and other early warning record reporting.
Tencent Youtu vehicle identification technology can automatically identify and register vehicles entering and leaving the community outside the community, and at the same time, it can prompt vehicles with Hubei (epidemic area) license plates entering and leaving the community, and whitelist vehicles with Hubei license plates that have not entered Hubei recently. It can also analyze and warn vehicles entering and leaving the community based on their behavioral characteristics such as time and frequency.
AI non-sensing temperature measurement helps prevent epidemics in public places
As the post-holiday return to work approach, prevention and control of public places with large traffic volume, such as airports, railway stations, subway stations, large office buildings, schools, and commercial centers in cities across the country, is a top priority. How to quickly detect people with abnormal body temperature in these crowded public places is the key. In response to this epidemic, the artificial intelligence company DeepGlint launched a non-sensing temperature measurement device within 8 days, which can quickly and accurately monitor body temperature in a high-traffic crowd environment.
The device combines infrared thermal imaging and face recognition technology, and can perform non-contact temperature detection on passers-by in crowded places such as train stations, airports, subway stations, shopping malls, and schools, quickly identify those with abnormal temperatures, and provide accurate big data services for the overall epidemic prevention and control of the city. In addition, the recognition model is optimized for situations where the face is severely obscured, and the system can accurately detect the face even when wearing a mask, hat, or glasses.
Currently, these devices have been used in Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing Chaoyang District Government Building, Chaoyang District Public Security Bureau, CBD office buildings and other places.

AI robot "police" sticks to the front line of epidemic prevention
During the peak return journey, UBTECH Robotics launched AI robot "police" to set up quarantine lines at highway toll stations, national highways, and provincial highways.
At the Shenzhen Hezhou checkpoint, UBTECH Robotics' 5G volunteer policeman "Huang Tiantian" can be seen acting as a volunteer policeman at the highway checkpoint, reminding passing drivers to scan the code and register in advance 24 hours a day, which can save 4 police officers and reduce the risk of infection caused by close contact between people. At the same time, "Huang Tiantian" broadcasts epidemic propaganda to reduce the pressure on police force.

In addition, UBTECH's police patrol robot "Jianguo" has been deployed at Shenzhen checkpoints, patrolling automatically around the clock and at all times, effectively identifying and tracing people wearing masks, and sharing patrol tasks with frontline staff such as police officers and auxiliary police officers. The "Jianguo" robot automatically operates 24 hours a day in key highway protection areas, realizing dynamic body temperature detection and reducing the chance of cross-infection among frontline personnel.

Intelligent medical robots become good assistants for medical care
On February 7, the third batch of Shanghai medical aid teams to Wuhan received two AirFace artificial intelligence medical service robots, which were developed and donated by Wu Tao's team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. AirFace is all white, and scientific research and medical staff call it "Xiaobai".

According to Wu Tao, "Xiaobai" includes various cutting-edge technologies such as machine vision and laser-based spatial position information, as well as integrated management software based on the Microsoft Azure platform and customized according to medical scenarios. This medical service robot is 1.45-1.6 meters tall and can move at a speed of 0.3-0.6 meters per second. It has functions such as face recognition, natural voice interaction, and remote collaboration. It can follow doctors and nurses on ward rounds, automatically avoid obstacles, and interact with people.
In the isolation ward, the "Xiaobai" robot becomes a substitute for medical staff, and doctors remotely control the robot through mobile phones, tablets or computers. "Non-contact face-to-face communication" reduces the risk of cross-infection between doctors and patients, improves consultation efficiency, and saves medical resources.
In addition to AirFace, other medical robots currently involved in the fight against the epidemic include disinfection robots, delivery robots, nursing robots, etc. A large number of robots are being deployed in hospitals to perform tasks such as disinfection, meal delivery, medicine dispensing, and remote diagnosis, which reduces the workload of frontline medical staff and the risk of cross infection.
More than 30 intelligent disinfection robots of Shanghai Titanium Robotics have been put into use 24/7 in isolation wards, ICUs, operating rooms, and fever clinics in six hospitals, including Wuhan Union Hospital and Wuhan Central Hospital. It is understood that Titanium Robotics' disinfection robots use chloric acid + plasma disinfection to conduct autonomous mobile multi-point disinfection of environmental surfaces and air in an environment where humans and machines coexist, and the disinfection level can reach a level of 99.9999% reduction in bacteria.

Shanghai Qinglang Intelligent Technology, a robotics company specializing in unmanned delivery, has sent dozens of food delivery robots to quarantine areas in Hangzhou, Shanghai and other places, delivering meals, mineral water, fruits, medicines, etc. to the quarantine areas.
According to reports, the food delivery robot is named Peanut. As long as the staff put the meals on the robot's three-layer tray during meal times and enter the room number of the quarantine area on the touch screen, it can automatically track the room number and deliver the food. The fully autonomous and contactless delivery method of the food delivery robot can block the "human-to-human" transmission chain of the new coronavirus, reduce the possibility of infection within the quarantine area, and improve the efficiency of food delivery and save the use of disposable protective equipment.

Logistics robots realize unmanned delivery
On February 6, JD Logistics' intelligent delivery robot completed the first unmanned delivery to Wuhan No. 9 Hospital. JD Logistics said on its official Weibo that it has basically completed the map collection and robot testing of robot delivery in Wuhan, and is deploying delivery robots from various places to help Wuhan, providing Wuhan with the supplies and user order delivery services needed for the epidemic.
In rural areas such as Hebei, Shaanxi, and Jiangsu, JD Logistics has begun preparations for drone delivery and plans to provide logistics services to areas that have been closed.
Drone shopping
During the epidemic, the delivery guys who usually shuttled on the road were rarely seen, and it became difficult to order takeout. Some people came up with a clever way to use drones for shopping. On February 8, according to The Paper, Adabang (pseudonym), a resident of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, used a drone to "fly" downstairs to shop. Since the community has been closed, entering and leaving the community requires an "access permit". Adabang can save an "access permit" by using a drone for shopping, which is hardcore and convenient.
