According to foreign media reports citing conversations between two people familiar with the matter, Haier, currently the world's largest home appliance manufacturer, intends to list Haier Smart, which is already listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In addition, Haier also plans to use the issuance of new Hong Kong shares to privatize Haier Electric Appliances, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, at a price of US$7.7 billion.
It is understood that this reorganization is part of Haier Group's efforts to streamline its overseas business. Currently, Haier Intelligence is accelerating its globalization.
At the recently held 20th China International Building Intelligence Summit, Haier Smart Home was named first in the three major awards of "Top Ten Smart Home Brands", "Top Ten Smart Lock Brands" and "Top Ten Real Estate Smart Home Project Recommended Brands" in 2019, and won the honor of "Smart City and Smart Community Brand of 2019".
