This is destined to be a fierce and protracted battle.

Of course, Huawei has made a lot of preparations for this. Among all cloud service giants, Huawei is the company that has prepared the most cloud computing solutions for the automotive industry.

These include cloud computing solutions for "automotive simulation" and "digital marketing" for enterprise operations, and cloud computing solutions for "Internet of Vehicles" and "autonomous driving" for digital automotive products. In contrast, Alibaba Cloud has failed to provide cloud computing solutions for "autonomous driving."

Interestingly, Baidu Cloud and Tencent Cloud did not list solutions for the automotive industry on their cloud service homepages, which is regrettable.

For all car companies, it is undoubtedly a happy thing to see so many technology giants fighting hard for their own digital transformation.

So how to deal with so many suitors? For car companies, multi-cloud is a wise choice. At least there needs to be a Plan A and a Plan B.

According to the 2019 State of the Cloud Report released by RightScale, a global cloud management service provider, 84% of the 786 companies surveyed said they used more than four cloud platforms.

The benefits of doing this are obvious.

First, when a problem occurs on a cloud platform, the enterprise can restore services more quickly.

Secondly, competition among them can allow business owners to enjoy better services, including price and other after-sales services. A single dominant player in the cloud service market is not in the interests of car companies.

Of course, although technology companies are eager to become digital assistants for car companies, related companies still need to cultivate their own digital teams, at least to be able to make good use of suppliers, such as multi-cloud management, data migration and other basic tasks.

The digital transformation of the automotive industry will be the focus of all future strategic transformations for automakers. Either they succeed or they fail.

The "cloud service" opportunities brought about by the digital transformation of automobile companies will become a battleground for all technology giants, including Huawei.

With the two waves merging into one, the digital transformation of the automotive industry is unstoppable.
