According to CNBC, on Thursday local time, Trump said in an interview with reporters at the White House that the United States would be very happy to include the recent tough restrictions on Huawei in a trade agreement.
In recent times, the United States has taken measures against Huawei one after another. Especially since May, Trump has issued an executive order targeting Huawei.
In addition, the US Department of Commerce also announced that Huawei will be included in the Entity List.
“I think we’re taking a very good approach, even from a national security perspective, we’re very concerned about Huawei,” Trump said in an interview.
But Trump also stressed, "If we can reach a trade agreement with China, I can consider including Huawei in it."
CNBC reported that the actions of Trump and the US government in recent times are self-evident. They hope to reach a trade agreement with China that is "in the interests of the United States" by targeting Huawei and then incorporating it into the trade agreement.
