Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that with the rapid development of big computing power, big data, and big models, advanced autonomous driving technology is expected to achieve new major breakthroughs, and intelligent connected vehicles will also enter a new stage of development. my country's intelligent connected vehicle industry has achieved remarkable results.
Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said that my country has built a complete intelligent connected vehicle industrialization system covering basic chips, sensors, computing platforms, chassis control, and network cloud control. Among them, technologies such as human-computer interaction are leading the world, and technologies such as wire-controlled steering and active suspension are accelerating breakthroughs.
In terms of infrastructure, more than 50 cities across the country have carried out road testing demonstrations for intelligent connected vehicles, opened 32,000 kilometers of test roads, completed the intelligent transformation of about 10,000 kilometers of roads, and installed more than 8,700 roadside units. In the field of intelligent connected vehicles, my country has cultivated nearly 400 specialized and innovative small giant enterprises, and the sales of 5 laser radar companies have entered the top ten in the world. In addition, my country's international cooperation has continued to deepen, and it has cooperated with Europe, the United States, Japan, and the United States to formulate a number of autonomous driving systems and regulations.
Jin Zhuanglong said that in the future, my country will promote new development of the industry from four aspects.
First, in terms of integrated innovation, we will focus on key areas such as the new generation of electronic and electrical architecture, high-computing power chips, domain controllers, and super-intelligent systems, and use data as a link to promote the integrated development of automobiles and smart grids, smart transportation, and smart cities.
The second is to expand application scenarios, carry out in-depth pilot projects for integrated vehicle-road-cloud applications, and continue to expand multi-scenario applications such as logistics, public transportation, taxis, and sanitation.
The third is to improve standards and regulations, promote the revision of laws and regulations on road traffic safety, insurance, etc., establish and improve a high-level autonomous driving supervision system, and accelerate the formulation of functional safety, network security, and data security standards.
He also pointed out that under the framework of the United Nations International Organization for Standardization, my country will strengthen cooperation with other countries on standards and regulations and study policies to facilitate cross-border data flow.
At the same time, the top ten development breakthroughs in the intelligent connected vehicle industry were announced:

2. Intelligent networking and integration have become important technical paths.
3. The new central computing architecture opens up industry practice.
4. Intelligent chassis improves vehicle control and sports safety.
5. Improve the safety technology system of the autonomous driving system.
6. The closed loop of car-cloud data changes the mainstream R&D paradigm.
7. Combined driving assistance (L2 level) is implemented on a large scale.
8. Accelerate the development of L3 and above intelligent connected vehicles.
9. Major countries have made key progress in legislation.
10. Globally accelerate research on autonomous driving regulations and standards.
