It was learned from the Qichacha website that recently, Great Wall Motors applied to register the "Great Wall Motors SPACEGPT" and "GWMSPACEGPT" trademarks, which are internationally classified as means of transportation. The application time is May 30, and the current trademark status is under application.
It is reported that Great Wall Motors is not the first car company to apply for GPT-related trademarks. According to incomplete statistics, in recent times, NIO, Xpeng Motors, Li Auto, and Chery Automobile have all applied for GPT-related trademarks. For example, Weilai Automobile applied for "NIOGPT", Xpeng Motors applied for "XPGPT", Li Automobile applied for "MindGPT", etc.
It is worth mentioning that after the release of ChatGPT, domestic companies such as Baidu, Alibaba, and iFlytek have successively released large GPT-like models. Analysts believe that Great Wall Motors' application for GPT-related trademarks may be related to its layout of the GPT large model. As automotive products become more and more intelligent, it has become very necessary for car companies to deploy large GPT models.
In the future, competition in the automotive industry will focus on competition in intelligent capabilities. With the emergence of the generative large model ChatGPT, the automotive industry has also been affected by the AI storm. Some analysts said that in the future, car companies and suppliers may need to combine AI large models to increase efficiency, from product design, drawing, demand design and platform design to APP development and middleware development and testing.
