On June 14, 2022, WPG Holdings , a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Youshang launched an in-vehicle Ethernet camera solution based on the Onsemi AP0200AT+AR0147AT chip.

In recent years, with the increasing demand for intelligent and networked vehicles, the form of automotive products is changing from traditional "functional cars" to "smart cars". At the same time, more and more cameras are embedded in cars to ensure driving safety. However, with the increase in the number of on-board cameras, the amount of data interaction in the car has also increased exponentially. In order to ensure the real-time and accuracy of communication between systems in the car, automotive Ethernet is widely used as a high-speed communication technology. In line with this trend, Dalian Dayoushang has launched an in-vehicle Ethernet camera solution based on Onsemi AP0200AT and AR0147AT chips. This solution can be used in car rearview mirrors, which helps drivers understand the situation behind the vehicle more clearly during parking.

The core of this solution is the Onsemi AP0200AT ISP chip and the AR0147AT automotive image sensor. The AP0200AT is an image coprocessor designed for automotive applications. It uses a dual-chip solution of sensor and coprocessor, with excellent performance, extremely high cost performance and flexibility. The AP0200AT provides Ethernet output and can support up to 2 million pixel sensors. In addition, the chip also integrates a spatial transformation engine (STE) that supports lens distortion correction and fisheye correction, as well as a sophisticated overlay graphics engine.
The AR0147AT automotive-grade image sensor adopts a breakthrough 3.0-micron back-illuminated pixel design. Its super exposure function, 120dB HDR (high dynamic range) and LED flicker suppression (LFM) technology enable the product to provide high-fidelity images in any scene.

Thanks to the excellent characteristics of these devices, this solution can provide leading performance even in low-light scenarios , thus meeting the increasingly rigorous needs of assisted driving. In addition, with a systematic solution, it can further reduce customers' development costs and shorten project development time.
