Diodes Incorporated Launches Automotive-Qualified 500mA LDO, Delivering Excellent PSRR in a High Power Density Size
[Plano, Texas, USA, November 24, 2021] Diodes Incorporated has launched the highly optimized AP7347DQ low dropout (LDO) regulator for demanding noise-sensitive power-related automotive product applications. This automotive-compliant, high-output precision LDO is AEC-Q100 Level 1 certified, produced in an IATF 16949 certified facility, and fully supports the automotive production part approval process (PPAP). These features make this product ideal for designing multiple important in-vehicle functions, including point-of-load (POL) product applications in ADAS, automotive wireless communication systems, RF subsystems, and infotainment system power supplies.
The 75dB power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and the output noise of only 60µVrms give the AP7347DQ a considerable advantage in performance. It has 12 fixed output voltages and maintains ±1% voltage output accuracy over the operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The wide input voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V can meet the requirements of many automotive product applications, while the 60µA quiescent current can reduce standby power loss.
The AP7347DQ has an enable pin; if the device has been disabled, a built-in active discharge function ensures that the system starts up in a known state. Overtemperature and short-circuit protection are integrated, and a 180mA foldback current limit is added in the event of a short circuit.
The AP7347DQ is available in SOT25 and high power density sidewall plating W-DFN2020-6 (SWP) packages.
