As early as 2014, Apple launched a car-making project codenamed "Titan", intending to launch a new energy vehicle that can truly compete head-on with Tesla. From 2014 to 2021, in the seven years, reports about Apple's first car have never stopped, but what the first product will look like has never been finalized.
Just recently, foreign media drew the latest renderings of Apple cars based on the patent information previously applied for by Apple.
Judging from the pictures, the shape of the "Apple Car" is weird. It does not look like any other car model on sale. The four wheels are at the four corners of the car, and the butt is very high. It looks a bit like a coupe, but the ground clearance is comparable to that of an SUV. It is a typical crossover vehicle.
In addition, it also has a large front windshield and double doors that highlight its style.
Overall, the Apple car in the rendering has a retro sense of technology, like a car that appeared in a science fiction movie in the 1980s.
The entire central control of the new car is extremely simple. Apart from an entire irregularly shaped screen, you can't find any other elements.
The steering wheel has a unique shape and a mechanical beauty, and paired with the equally personalized seats, it gives people the illusion of driving a futuristic car.
Speaking of seats, the front seats of Apple's car can be completely turned backwards to face the rear seats. Based on this, we have reason to judge that the new car will have high-level autonomous driving assistance capabilities.
As for the power system, there is no news at the moment. Apple's confidentiality work is really excellent.
The price, which everyone is most concerned about, is also a mystery. However, given Apple's style, the price of its first product will certainly be relatively high, even surpassing Tesla Model S and Model X.
Combined with previously leaked information, it is now known that the mass-produced version of Apple's car is expected to be officially unveiled as early as 2024, and may be outsourced to Foxconn for production.
