Recently, Yiwei Lithium Energy issued an announcement stating that benefiting from the vigorous development of the new energy vehicle industry, combined with the actual situation of the company's power storage battery project and future business development plans, in order to obtain more policy support, the company signed a "Strategic Investment Agreement" (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") with the Jingmen Municipal People's Government (hereinafter referred to as the "Jingmen Municipal Government").
The agreement shows that EVE Energy will invest 30.521 billion yuan in phases in Jingmen through its subsidiary registered in Dudao District, Jingmen City, to build a lithium battery and system R&D and production base with an annual output of 152.61GWh. The Jingmen Municipal Government will provide necessary support and assistance for the construction of the Jingmen Power Energy Storage Battery Industrial Park and the introduction of lithium-ion power energy storage battery supporting industries.
It is understood that EVE Energy has currently completed an investment of 8.611 billion yuan to build an annual production capacity of 28.5GWh of power storage batteries; an investment of 21.91 billion yuan is under construction and new construction to build an annual production capacity of 124.11GWh of power storage batteries. At the same time, the company will also introduce lithium-ion power storage battery supporting industries in Dudao District, Jingmen City to achieve a stable supply of raw materials.
In addition, given that the investment and construction projects under this agreement already include the original project, the two "Strategic Investment Agreements" signed by Yiwei Lithium Energy and the Jingmen High-tech Zone Management Committee for the original project will be terminated simultaneously, and the contents of this agreement will be implemented in the future. It is reported that on June 10, 2021 and August 2, 2021, Yiwei Lithium Energy signed a "Strategic Investment Agreement" with the Jingmen High-tech Zone Management Committee for the 104.5GWh annual new energy power storage battery industrial park and the 30GWh annual power storage battery project.
Yiwei Lithium Energy said that this cooperation will help both parties give full play to their respective resources and advantages, expand the production capacity of power energy storage batteries, and introduce lithium-ion power energy storage battery supporting industries to stabilize the supply of raw materials. It will further improve the company's diversified industrial layout, promote the company's development in the lithium-ion power battery market, and enhance the company's influence and comprehensive competitiveness in the new energy industry, which is in line with the company's development strategy and the interests of all shareholders.
