Recently, Buycar learned that Skoda Auto is testing HoloLens holographic glasses to assist in the daily maintenance of the production line at its headquarters factory. This augmented reality (AR) device can project various documents such as technical manuals and maintenance lists directly into the user's field of vision in the form of holographic images, and the images seen by users through HoloLens holographic glasses can also be shared with others in real time during video conferences, thereby achieving the purpose of remote training.

It is understood that Skoda Auto Central Technical Service Department and Skoda Auto FabLab (Innovation Laboratory) are currently testing the application of AR technology in the production line maintenance process. During video calls, technicians can use HoloLens holographic glasses to show colleagues who are not on site what they see on the production line and keep in touch with their colleagues. At the same time, the glasses can also be used to share technical documents and other information.

During technical maintenance, HoloLens can display the contents of technical manuals, checklists and instructions in the form of holographic projection. Employees only need to scan the QR code on the corresponding device, and the embedded files will be displayed in interactive forms such as photos and videos, guiding technicians to complete maintenance work step by step. It is worth noting that every time a task is completed, the technician only needs to gesture to the holographic image to check the item.

At the same time, HoloLens holographic glasses also reduce the possibility of errors, make service intervals more flexible, and speed up the maintenance process. Any remaining service requirements are imported into the internal system through wireless network connection for record.

In addition, HoloLens holographic glasses are composed of physical glasses that can see holographic projections and camera projection units. The lenses provide excellent peripheral vision and complement the real environment through virtual display. Flip the cover up to exit mixed reality.
