The Snapdragon Ride platform is one of the most advanced and scalable open autonomous driving solutions in the automotive industry. It is designed to meet the complex needs of different levels of autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) application scenarios. It provides a complete system-level solution that is cost-effective and energy-efficient for multi-level vehicles through high-performance and energy-efficient hardware, leading AI technology and groundbreaking autonomous driving software stack. The Snapdragon Ride platform uses a scalable and modular high-performance heterogeneous multi-core CPU, energy-efficient AI and computer vision engine, and advanced GPU to support multiple levels of autonomous driving scenarios and provide leading heat dissipation efficiency.
Developed based on the Snapdragon Ride platform, Great Wall Motors' new Coffee Intelligent Driving System will bring advanced computing performance through its superior computing power and industry-leading energy efficiency. Great Wall Motors' Coffee Intelligent Driving System can support multiple high-definition cameras and provide users with L2+ and L3 intelligent driving functions with the help of multi-source heterogeneous sensors. In addition, through the upgrade solution of two standard large computing power platforms, the computing power of the intelligent driving platform can reach 700+TOPS, reserving sufficient hardware capabilities and computing power redundancy to achieve L4/L5 level or more complex full-scenario autonomous driving capabilities.
“Great Wall Motors and Qualcomm Technologies have a long-standing and in-depth partnership in multiple technology fields,” said Lei Xian, vice president of sales and business development at Qualcomm. “The Snapdragon Ride platform integrates Qualcomm’s deep technical accumulation in multiple fields such as computing, artificial intelligence, connectivity and security, and is designed for strict automotive safety. We are very pleased to support Great Wall Motors’ technological innovation through this solution and create the next generation of high-end models for multi-level autonomous driving scenarios.”
Zhang Kai, head of intelligent driving at Great Wall Motors, said: "The explosion of data in the AI era has brought about a huge demand for data processing throughput and computing power. Thanks to the powerful computing power and scalability brought by the Snapdragon Ride platform, Great Wall Motors will achieve full-function and multi-scenario coverage from assisted driving to advanced autonomous driving in future models. Through advanced autonomous driving technology, Great Wall Motors will fully enable its transformation from an automaker to a 'global technology travel company'."
